- Checklist -
  1. A PC or laptop with USB2.0, an availible Ethernet port, and meets the minimum system requirements for running Windows Media Encoder. Windows Media Encoder is available as a free download. Additionally, in order to archive a 3 day webcast, you will need at least 7GB of free hard drive space.

  2. An analog audio/video capture device such as AVerMedia EZ DVD or Kworld DVD Maker USB2.0 . There are lots on the market to choose from. A USB device is the easiest to use but make sure your computer and capture device support USB 2.0.

  3. Prearranged network connectivity at the particular venue you wish to webcast. Please contact FIRST for more information. For best quality and connectivity a guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 1Mbps is required

  4. Prearranged audio/video feed provided by the FRC A/V production crew.

  5. Most importantly, permission from the venue you wish to webcast from. Some venues have unions that you will need to work with or gain permission from.

  6. Email Jack Biesiadecki for information about configuring Windows Media Encoder to use NASA's streaming servers.
