- A PC or laptop with USB2.0, an available
Ethernet port, and meets the minimum system
requirements for running
Adobe's Flash Media Live Encoder. Adobe's Flash Media Live Encoder is available as a free download from Adobe.
Additionally, in order to archive a 3 day
webcast, you will need at least 7GB of free hard
drive space.
- An analog audio/video
capture device such as
AVerMedia EZ DVD or Kworld DVD Maker
USB2.0 . There are lots on the market to
choose from. A USB device is the easiest to
use but make sure your computer and capture
device support at minimum USB 2.0.
- Prearranged network connectivity at the
particular venue you wish to webcast. Please
contact
FIRST for more information. For best quality and connectivity
a guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 1Mbps is required
- Prearranged audio/video feed provided by the FRC A/V
production crew.
- Most importantly, permission from the venue you wish to webcast from.
Some venues have unions that you will need to work with
or gain permission from.
