The Ames Robotics Academy (RoboAcad) is a summer internship program at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) located at Moffett Field; CA. RoboAcad is for undergraduate and graduate students interested in robotics. With this 10-week program, NASA seeks to cultivate and sustain student academic interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and to address the gap in the robotics pipeline at the college level. This is achieved by enabling hands-on alliances between NASA, academic institutions, and industry partners, with whom students work to achieve high-level technical deliverables in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science engineering.

RoboAcad is in its eith year and has proved successful based on achievement of objectives and predefined evaluation criteria, as well as positive comments received from group leaders, partner participants, and others involved in the program.

The 2013 Academy will run from June 10th through August 16, 2013. Those students with school schedules that conflict with these dates should contact us ahead of time to discuss alternatives.
